Bradley Roby's Player Profile

Ohio State University corner back, Bradley Roby, is an All-American Junior who announced earlier this year that he will be entering this upcoming draft. To most people Bradley Roby is one of the best in college football at his position likely to be picked in the first round of the draft. Roby standing in at 5' 11" 193 lbs looks like he's about 5' 9" 180lbs on the field, but plays like he's 6' 2" 200 lbs. One of the most aggressive corners in college football, Bradley Roby is known for his man-to-man coverage, making Quarterbacks have to fit the ball in perfectly. Roby is at his best in short pass coverage. He has a great release and knows how to knock the ball loose after being touched by the WR. His most underrated play has to be his tackling. For someone as thin or small as Roby he is by far the best open field tackler in college today.

His two biggest, and really his only true weaknesses, are defending the deep ball and playing zone coverage. His deep coverage isn't noticeably bad for the reason that he has been playing Big Ten football where the QBs sometimes short arm the ball giving him time to recover, but you notice when he plays a good QB it doesn't pan out too well. When in Zone coverage, he ends up giving too much space to the WR and sometimes switches WRs too late. It's definitely something easy to fix.
