2012 Profile

Update Dec. 5th 2011 - Matt Barkley made solid progressions in his Jr. season and really finished strong as USC is one of the hottest teams in the country. I really like Barkley’s game management and leadership intangibles. He knows when to live to see another day and when to take a shot down field and trust his receivers to make a play. The arm strength and accuracy looked better this year and he continues to show improvement and carry himself as a QB should. The one area he will need to make adjustment in the NFL is spreading the ball around more. He locks in too much on either Robert Woods or Marquise Lee and benefited by the fact that they are the 2 most talented wrs in the conference. That being said I think he is ahead of Landry Jones and will make a case for being the #2 pick in the draft.
