Jerel Worthy's Player Profile

Jerel Worthy was redshirted in 2008. Worthy then went on to start 38 or 40 games at Michigan State. In 14 games this past year he recorded 30 tackles, 10.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks. In his 40 game college career he made 107 tackles, 27.5 TFL and 12 sacks.

Worthy has good size and bulk for a DLineman. Has good speed and agility. Gets off the line quickly. A good run stuffer. Has quick hands. Better against the run than the pass rush. Can disrupt the pocket and gets in passing lanes.

Worthy’s motor can be on and off. Had an inconsistent 2011 season which may drop him to 2nd-3rd round consideration. Has dealt with several injuries since High School. Needs to improve his conditioning.
