Devon Still's Player ProfileStill has a had a phenomenal season for an interior lineman. Taking home Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and being a finalist for three post season awards; Nagurski Award, Bednarik Award, and Outland Trophy. Still had one of the most productive seasons for a Penn State defensive lineman recording 55 total tackles including 15 solo tackles for loss (second in conference), 17 TFL overall (third overall) and 4.5 sacks. Still recorded a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. At the beginning of the season few had Still in the first round, many had him going anywhere from the second round to the fourth round. The season he's had has put his name well above that and moved him into the first round. His numbers are that of a defensive end or linebacker but Still has caused problems for opposing offenses since the first game. He showed his muscle in the second game of the season when he stopped Alabama running back and Heisman Candidate Trent Richardson five yards behind the line of scrimmage. He might not make every tackle but that doesn't mean he won't have an impact on the play. Having to draw double teams on nearly every play frees up fellow teammates to make those tackles. The comparison is made to former Nebraska standout defensive tackle Ndamnukong Suh who had the same impact as still has. Still might not have the quickness like Suh but for someone 6'5" 310lbs he is pretty quick. He still has a bowl game and a potentially well-deserved invite to the Senior Bowl and NFL Draft Scouting Combine to show what he can do and why his name should be called in the first round come April.
