Coby Fleener
Ht/Wt: 6-6/245 lbs
Position: TE
School: Stanford
Class: RS Senior

Coby Fleener's Player Profile

In a fairly weak TE draft class, Coby Fleener is a hot commodity. His mix of size and speed, along with his experience in a pro style offense gives his an advantage over other top TE's (Dwayne Allen, Orson Charles). His prototypical TE body types bodes well for him at the next level. The Stanford product has reliable hands, good speed, and is useful in red-zone situations because of his height and jumping ability. His route-running is solid, rarely slipping or running the wrong route. He seems to be fearless running across the middle of the field, willing to run any route need. He's a high character guy would will cause no problem in an NFL locker room. His major weakness is that he is still a bit raw as a blocker, something being outmatched by stronger DE's. He needs to add about 10 pounds before entering an NFL training camp. Also, though it may be petty, he must prove that he is not just a product of playing with presumably #1 overall pick Andrew Luck and that he can perform with possibly a less gifted QB in the NFL. With that said, this man is a TD machine. He should hear his name called in April's draft in the late first or early second round.
