Robert Quinn's Player Profile
Despite not playing a down this season, Robert Quinn is still considered a potential top 10-15 pick. Quinn was suspended for the season as the NCAA found him guilty of accepting jewellery and travel accommodations from an agent, totalling over $5,600. As a senior in high school it was discovered that he had a benign brain tumor. He has a MRI every 6 months to monitor it.Quinn started all 13 games in 2009, totalling 52 tackles with 19 TFL, 11 sacks and 6 forced fumbles. He started all 12 games in 2008, totalling 34 tackles with 6.5 TFL, 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
Quinn has the size, speed and strength to be a very good NFL DE. He is an excellent athlete. Has quickness off the line, and excellent closing speed. He’s better on the pass rush compared to against the run. Could fit into both the 4-3 and 3-4 schemes.
Needs to improve on ball recognition in the backfield. Needs to get better against the run, and against better offenses (numbers dropped against top competition).
