Ras-I Dowling's Player Profile

Started 4 of 12 games as a freshman, making 44 tackles, 9 PBU and 2 INTs. As a sophomore he started 9 of 11 games, with 43 tackles, 11 PBU and 3 INTs. In 2009 he started 12 of 12 games with 58 tackles, 8 PBU, 3 INTs, and 1 sack. This past season he only got into 5 games, starting 2. He did make 15 tackles and 1 PBU.

Dowling has excellent top end speed. Has good height, long arms and leaping ability. Has a good work ethic and has shown leadership qualities. He has good instincts and IQ. Doesn’t get beat deep often. Takes good angles.

Had hamstring and knee injuries this year before he broke his ankle. Needs to work on his tackling and consistency.
