Randall Cobb's Player Profile
Receiving, passing, rushing, punt return, kick-off return were just a few of the ways Randall Cobb found the end-zone at Kentucky during his three year stint. Most quarterbacks turned receiver are not great route runners, however; Cobb's biggest strength is his route running mechanics. He's not the tallest receiver so he's had to be precise in his cuts to find a way to get open, which he rarely had a problem doing. Another thing Cobb has going for him is his strength at shedding off would be tacklers. This may not hold true for the NFL but for a receiver of his stature, Cobb is a very strong receiver. Biggest weakness is his height. Look for Cobb to be a slot receiver coming off the draft board in the late-first or early-second rounds.Profile submitted by: Brent Simpkins
