Mike Pouncey's Player Profile

Twin brother Maurkice who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1st round in the 2010 NFL draft. Is the top OG/C heading into this year’s draft. He struggled snapping at times under center this year, his first season under center at college. He started all 13 games at center in 2010. In 2009 he started 12 games at right guard and 2 games at left guard. In 2008 he converted to the offensive side of the ball, starting 14 games at right guard. Pouncey started 4 of 12 games in 2008 as a defensive tackle.

Has a good quick punch off the line, and moves well laterally. His quick feet enable him to mirror rushers well. Effective pass and run blocker. A leader, with strong work ethic.

Lacks experience under center, but in some ways could be seen as a positive as it makes him more versatile. Has played 4 positions in 4 years at college; C, RG, LG, and DT.
