Mark Ingram's Player Profile
2009 Hesiman Winner and National Champ as a Sophomore, saw a dip in production and team success as a jr. Ideal compact build for a RB makes it difficult for him to get knocked off his feet. Missing action with minor injuries and shared time with Trent Richardson can lead to 2 schools of thought…1, that durability is a question mark. 2, After a Sophomore year that solidified a good NFL early entry draft standing he was used conservatively to preserve his NFL impact.Only average strength and explosiveness he will not be a premier NFL big play threat. He makes up for that with great vision, and feet that lead to exceptional balance and instincts that allow him to pick up yards that most RBs don’t see. Great coaching and bloodlines, and shows a high football IQ. I project him as being productive RB early in his career that will lead to unique longevity at the RB position.
