Derek Sherrod's Player Profile

As a freshman in 2007 Sherrod was a right tackle for 11 games. In 2008 he moved over to the left side and started 10 games. Sherrod stayed on the left side for his Junior and Senior seasons, starting 12 and 13 games respectively.

Has very good height and size at 6’5” and 320 pounds. Does a good job mirroring rushers. Is agile for a man his size. Has good balance but can get knocked back a times after a strong push. Has good hands. He’s a very good pass blocker and is capable at protecting the edge.

Sherrod needs to add strength and improve his balance. Stays high sometimes. Needs to be more aggressive.
