Corey Liuget's Player Profile

Liuget had a breakout year, and will be leaving school a year early. He started all 13 games this year (only 6 starts in his prior 2 seasons), recording 63 tackles, 12.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks. In 2009 Liuget started 4 of 12 games, making 36 tackles, 8 TFL and 2.5 sacks. As a freshman he started 2 of 11 games, recording 26 tackles, 5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks.

Probably best suited for a 4-3 DT, but could possibly be a NT in a 3-4 scheme. Solid against the run, get off the line quickly. Doesn’t get out of position to often, has good lateral movement. Has good speed and power. He’s a good tackler. Got double teamed often. Has good hand, is able to shed blockers, or get them up in the passing lane.

Needs to work on different pass rush moves. Lacks experience, only started 19 of 36 games.
