Aldon Smith's Player Profile

Smith started 10 games this year, recording 48 tackles, 10 TFL and 5.5 sacks. In 2009 he started 12 of 13 games, making 64 tackles, 19 TFL and 11.5 sacks. Smith was redshirted in 2008.

Could be a 3-4 rush linebacker, needs to add bulk to play a 4-3 defense. He keeps in excellent shape, a very good athlete, and will play through the pain. He’s a good pass rusher, and against the run. Both areas should get better with more experience.

Smith missed 3 games this year with a fractured fibula. Has some trouble with big OT’s. Needs to add bulk/weight/strength.
