Adrian Clayborn's Player Profile

In 13 starts as a senior this past season, Clayborn recorded 52 tackles, 7 TFL, and 6 sacks. Last year he put up better numbers, 70 tackles, 20 TFL and 11.5 sacks. As a sophomore he started 11 of 13 games making 50 tackles, 8 TFL and 2 sacks. He got in 11 games as a RS freshman, not starting any, made 20 tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 2 sacks.

Clayborn has good size and speed. Doesn’t do anything exceptional, but doesn’t do anything bad. Could play in both the 3-4 and 4-3 schemes. He is effective against both the pass and the run. Has good hands, able to shed blockers. Good tackler.

In March 2010 pleaded guilty for disorderly conduct, after being charged with assault causing bodily injury. Clayborn has Erb’s Palsy that has left nerve damage to his right arm and neck. Doesn’t have a great first step and range.
