Golden Tate
Ht/Wt: 5-11/195 lbs
Position: WR
School: Notre Dame
Class: Junior

Golden Tate's Player Profile

Almost an exact clone of the New York Giants WR Steve Smith from a physical dimension and his skill set mirrors that of the other Steve Smith in Carolina.

More of a quick-twitch athlete but can accelerate to top speed quickly once he finds a seam or needs separation from a DB. Tate may be a decent number two receiver or top slot guy his first few years in the league. He has fantastic hands but occasionally drops the easy pass since his tendency is to let the ball hit his body. A good WR coach will correct that and have him catch more passes with his mitts.

A former running back, Tate is electrifying in the open field and elusive enough to make would-be tacklers look foolish he may perform double-duty as a punt or kick returner.
