Position: QB
School: Georgia
Class: Junior

Matt Stafford's Player Profile

Matt Stafford was a highly touted quarterback heading in to college. He managed to get in to 8 games a freshman, passing for over 1,700 yards, 7 TDs and rushing for 3 TDs. In his sophomore season he started 12 games completing almost 56% of his passes for over 2,500 yards and 19 TD passes. Stafford continue increasing his numbers in his junior year at Georgia, completing over 61% and 3,400 yards.

Stafford has the chance to the be the top quarterback taken in the 2009, and potentially the top overall pick. Has the tools to be a good NFL quarterback. Hes got good size at 6-3/235 and has excellent arm strength, and has shown good leadership qualities.

Can become a bit erratic at times, trying to force his passes. Could still use another year of seasoning in college as he still has some learning to do, but hes still worthy of being a top pick.
