Mark Sanchez's Player ProfileSanchez may have benefited the most after Sam Bradford decided to return to school. A potential bubble first rounder, has now vaulted to a potential top pick. Some say he might be the best quarterback prospect in this draft, though it may not mean he’d be selected before Stafford. This past season he was given the Trojans starting job after starting 3 games in the 2007 season. He had an outstanding season, tossing 34 touchdowns and over 3,200 yards with only 10 interceptions. Put up 413 yards and combined for 5 touchdown (4 passing, 1 running) during this years Rose Bowl.
He good size and mobility in and around the pocket. Has the arm strength to get the ball down field. On shorter passes, he’s very accurate with his quick release.
One area that might scare off some teams that pick early is Sanchez’s inexperience. He has only been a college starter for one season and has thrown less than 500 passes. Although he has not charged, he was arrested for sexual assault as a freshman, so character issues might creep up.
