James Laurinaitis's Player Profile

It surprised many that Laurinaitis didn’t enter last years draft, where he most likely would have been a top 15 pick. Is the son of former wrestler ‘Animal’, one half of the ‘Road Warriors/Legion of Doom’. Luarinaitis won the Butkus Award in 2007 as the top collegiate linebacker and the Nagurski Award as the best defensive player in 2006. He put up some impressive numbers his last 3 season as a starter, recording tackles totals of 116, 121, and 130. He recorded 13 sacks and 9 interceptions throughout his college caeer.

Has good size and athletic ability. Should be able to jump right into the NFL as he has a high football IQ and awareness in coverage. An intense player with leadership qualities. With 376 career tackles, it shows that he is a good tackler. Can go sideline-to-sideline as well as up and down the field.

Needs to increase his strength. Is not a big hitter.
