Darrius Heyward-Bey's Player Profile

Extremely fast receiver, 4.4 speed will endear him to scouts in combine. His 6’3 size may win him some jump balls against smaller defenders, even though he’s not the toughest receiver in terms of physicality. Will have a hard time beating the press coverage. Not the best route runner and will need some work on his toughness in terms of his willingness to block. Lack of consistent quarterback play hurt his numbers as he never caught more than 51 passes in any given season but he is still a playmaker who will get some first round looks. He is definitely one of the best receivers in the draft class.
