Yhonzae Pierre's Player Profile

Yhonzae Pierre is a physical, high-energy edge defender whose strength, versatility, and relentless motor make him an appealing NFL prospect. At approximately 6-foot-3 and 251 pounds, Pierre possesses the explosiveness to threaten offensive tackles while displaying the power necessary to hold his ground against the run. He is particularly effective when using his hands to disengage from blockers and pursuing ball carriers along the line of scrimmage. Pierre can operate from a traditional defensive end alignment or as a stand-up outside linebacker, providing valuable schematic flexibility. His awareness and effort also make him effective on defensive line stunts and delayed pressure concepts. Although he generates pressure through strength and persistence, he lacks the exceptional flexibility and cornering ability of elite speed rushers. Improving his pass-rushing counters and developing more consistent initial separation will be important. Pierre projects as a dependable NFL edge defender with three-down potential.
