Caleb Lomu
Ht/Wt:6' 6"/304 lbs
Position: OT
School: Utah
Class: RS Soph.

Caleb Lomu's Player Profile

Caleb Lomu is a powerful, physical offensive tackle whose profile is built on strength, length, and the ability to move defenders at the point of attack while still providing adequate pass?protection. He plays with a low pad level, strong hands, and a solid frame that allow him to anchor and slide against NFL?level pass?rushers, while excelling in the run game as a mover and road?grader who can wall?off lanes and create movement for the offense. His ability to function as a plug?and?play left or right tackle in a power?oriented scheme makes him a high?floor prospect who can contribute early in his career if he continues to refine his footwork and balance in protection.

Strengths: His biggest strengths are his physicality and ability to move defenders in the run game, which give him strong value as a power?tackle, and his toughness and ability to handle high?snap?count duties on early?downs and pass?protection.

Weaknesses: His biggest weaknesses are his somewhat limited lateral quickness and agility, which can make it harder for him to stay in front of elite?speed rushers, and his need for more refined footwork and balance, as he can get too upright and struggle to slide and recover when rushes change direction.

Mel Kiper - ESPN - January 21st: "Lomu has tremendous upside; he is consistent in pass protection and really excellent as a run blocker. It's his agility and quickness that stand out most, and I think he's going to excel in predraft testing and combine events."

Walt - Walter Football- January 20th: "Caleb Lomu is a tough blocker with solid potential."

Gordon McGinness - PFF - January 19th: "Lomu disappointed as a run blocker in 2025, resulting in a 62.0 PFF run-blocking grade, but his 82.1 PFF pass-blocking grade was impressive. "

Josh Edwards - CBS Sports - January 19th: "Caleb Lomu, who has as much upside as any offensive tackle in the draft but lacks ideal play strength."

NFL Draft Buzz- January: "A true bookend tackle with legitimate franchise-caliber upside who still requires developmental runway to reach his ceiling. The elite athletic testing numbers hint at a player whose physical gifts can't be taught, yet must be balanced against technical inconsistencies that occasionally surface when facing polished pass rushers."
