Matthew Golden
Ht/Wt:5'11"/191 lbs
Position: WR
School: Texas
Class: Junior

Matthew Golden's Player Profile

Dante Lee - The Ringers - March 16th.: "Even if you have questions about whether Golden’s 4.29-second 40-yard dash speed will show up on the field, there was never a point during his time at Texas when it felt as though his speed was lacking."

Mel Kiper - ESPN - March 16th: "He's a terrific route runner who is smooth getting in and out of his breaks, and he has reliable hands. Golden is a big-play receiver too. He averaged over 20 yards per reception in nine different games last season."

Jordan Reid - ESPN - Mar. 16th: "Golden is a sudden and diverse route runner who keeps defenders guessing with various tempos in his routes. His 4.29-second 40 at the combine surprised a lot of evaluators, as Golden doesn't quite play that fast on tape, but there are scouts who believe he could be the first WR off the board."

Ryan Fowler - The Draft Network - March 16th: "A 'riser' in the process, Matthew Golden's aerial ability and dynamic athletic profile showcase one of the premier pass-catchers in the class. I don't see 4.29 on his tape (40 time in Indianapolis), but separation translates, and Golden understands the finer nuances of the position."

Danny Kelly - The Ringer - March 5th: "He’s really quick off the line, showing the suddenness to get off or avoid press coverage and move quickly into his route. He seems to surprise opponents with his ability to gain a step downfield, and his top-tier stop-start acceleration helps him create run-after-the-catch opportunities."
