Class: Senior

Josh Simmons's Player Profile

John Kosko - PFF - March 17th: "Simmons was Ohio State’s left tackle for the past two seasons and their right tackle in 2022. He is coming off an injury-shortened 2024 season, but his movement skills and positional versatility..."

Dante Lee - The Ringers - March 16th.: "Simmons is another prospect coming off a season-ending injury in 2024, but he had the look of a high first-rounder before he went down. Simmons is agile, rarely loses his balance or leverage as a pass protector, and has the speed as a zone run blocker."

Mel Kiper - ESPN - March 16th: "He's just very consistent, showing excellent footwork and balance in pass protection. I really like the way he drives defensive ends off the ball and gets to the second level."

Jordan Reid - ESPN - Mar. 16th: "Simmons was on his way to challenging for OT1 status before sustaining a season-ending left knee injury against Oregon on Oct. 12. He confirmed at the combine that it was a torn patellar tendon."

Ryan Fowler - The Draft Network - March 16th: "If Josh Simmons were healthy, we're talking about a top-10 pick here and likely the first tackle off the board. However, Simmons remains in the middle of his rehab process but he is expected to be good to go when September rolls around."

Danny Kelly - The Ringer - March 5th: "Simmons is built like a power forward, boasting a broad-shouldered, muscular frame and long arms. As a pass protector, he gets into his set with a wide, balanced base and calmly mirrors on the edge."
